About
A life shaped by reading, writing, teaching and interpretation.
I have always been drawn to the kinds of books, images and ideas that continue to ask something of us after we have put them down.
I teach at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, where I also studied. That relationship between learning and teaching continues to shape the way I read, write and think about literature.
My interests move between literature, research, teaching, culture, art and interpretation. This journal is a place for those interests to meet without needing to become a formal academic argument every time.
I write here to pay attention: to sentences, stories, films, paintings, songs and the questions that remain after them.
